mod_v8 no rpm package for centos7
As noted in this JIRA https://freeswitch.org/jira/browse/FS-6748 when installing rpms via yum (yum install freeswitch-v8) no mod_v8.so gets created, so mod_v8 cannot be used in an rpm-installed environment. Besides reverting to the git/bootstrap/make/make install method, is there another way to get mod_v8.so ?
Use Debian 8 :) On Wed, Jul 6, 2016 at 9:41 AM, Jason Moran <jmoran@secureachsystems.com> wrote:

Well, Debian is not always an option, for example in my company. Sometimes it *has* to be RHEL or Centos (and building rpm-s from scratch is not the easiest way). With regards, OZ On 6 July 2016 at 15:53, Brian West <brian@freeswitch.org> wrote:

If Debian isn't an option - you can go the route of running Docker on your CentOS hosts and putting Freeswitch inside of a Docker container based on debian. Best, Colin On Fri, Jul 8, 2016 at 7:09 AM Olgierd Ziolko <lists.fs-users@uce.pw> wrote:

an alternate option would be to do the work to properly package v8 so that we can add it to the packages. there was some difficulty in doing so when we packaged for centos 7 and that's why it's not in there, we are happy to review patches that add this capability.
