Hello all, I need to set up a freeswitch trunk to a termination provider that authenticates via IP. Previously I was set up through Skype so the set up was pretty easy because the wiki has plenty of information on setting up Skype. Alcazar networks is the termination provider I am using. The only configuration I could find on the wiki is for sonovoip so I assume my configuration would be close to the same. I assume it would look something like this: <include> <gateway name="alcazar networks"> </gateway> </include> Any advice would be greatly appreciated -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/External-SIP-Trunk-IP-Authenti... Hello, These are my settings for Alcazar networks. Make sure IP addresses of your servers are in their system. You can add your IP on their control panel. <include> <user id="alcazarnetworks.com"> <gateways> <gateway name="alcazarnetworks.com"> <param name="realm" value="199.96.248.140"/> <param name="username" value="not-required"/> <param name="password" value="not-required"/> <param name="from-user" value="not-required"/> <param name="from-domain" value="your-domain-name"/> <param name="expire-seconds" value="600"/> <param name="register" value="false"/> <param name="retry-seconds" value="30"/> <param name="extension" value="1000"/> <param name="context" value="public"/> </gateway> </gateways> <params> <param name="password" value="$${default_password}"/> </params> </user> </include> On Wednesday 17 July 2013 06:54 PM, bjamm90 wrote:

Thank's for your help Raj I tried your configuration with a slight modification to the current IP from Alcazar. This didn't work because it said it didn't recognize </gateways>. Didn't even load into sofia. So I removed the extra data most likely specific to your set up. And got this: <include> <gateway name="alcazarnetworks.com"> </gateway> </include> This should be a simply stripped down version of yours so that should work but it isn't. Any ideas? I'm sure I made some stupid mistake that I'm missing. -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/External-SIP-Trunk-IP-Authenti... Is it just me or does everyone else see a bunch of blank lines in between the <gateway> and </gateway> tags here? -MC On Wed, Jul 17, 2013 at 8:52 AM, bjamm90 <bjamm90@gmail.com> wrote:

I wonder if he's pasting in from the generated/parsed freeswitch.xml file, and what the blank lines are telling us is that he has all of the individual lines still wrapped with <!-- --> On 07/17/2013 11:46 AM, Michael Collins wrote:

I am not sure where did the blank lines creep in. May be a formatting issue with my email client. Thanks, Raj On Wednesday 17 July 2013 10:16 PM, Michael Collins wrote:

All you need is the IP/name in the proxy, and no registration, like so: (also caller-id-in-from is a good idea) Someone post to wiki? The new search is bad and not yet fixed, I couldn't find the provider examples page... <gateway name="alcazar"> <param name="username" value="none"/> <param name="password" value="register:false"/> <param name="proxy" value="199.96.248.140"/> <param name="register" value="false"/> <param name="context" value="public"/> <param name="caller-id-in-from" value="true"/> <param name="sip_cid_type" value="none"/> </gateway> -Avi Marcus On Wed, Jul 17, 2013 at 4:24 PM, bjamm90 <bjamm90@gmail.com> wrote:

Thanks Avi Marcus, If Alcazar has given me a port for the IP should I include that with the IP? On their account page it is listed with the port. -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/External-SIP-Trunk-IP-Authenti... I'm pretty sure the port is 5060 -- that's the default SIP port and you won't need to specify it. -Avi On Wed, Jul 17, 2013 at 9:32 PM, bjamm90 <bjamm90@gmail.com> wrote:

<param name="password" value="register:false"/> Hello Avi,
"register:false" is just another string literal or it is some thing internally recognised by FreeSWITCH that password is not required for this gateway? Thanks, Raj
