Barge in on Shared Line
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable bargein on shared lines. I use Snom and Grandstream phone, Shared line works perfect on these sets, I would like to disable bargein and give a true key system type of operation where by the third party can only join by invitation. Darcy voice2net
I’ve never heard of anything like this invite only to join a call in progress on any Keys system I’ve ever encountered. -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On May 17, 2014, at 8:09 PM, Darcy Primrose <fs@voice2net.ca> wrote:

I guess I was not clear. I run freeswitches using both multi domain hosted and on site IP PBX's. I have cases where I need to use the shared line. When a party is on a shared line call, if another party presses the illuminated shared line button, they join the conversation, I would like to block that. I have installed or managed the installation of over 1,000 electronic key systems and non of these allow this as you suggested. I know it is an option with polycom phones to block barge in on shared lines, but we use only snom and grandstream, I was curious if there was a way to block them from joining the call on the freeswitch side. yes, you should be able to disable that in the phone configuration, at least for the snom, i have no idea on grandstream. I don;'t think we have any way in code to disable it, but patches welcome. On May 19, 2014, at 5:35 PM, Darcy Primrose <fs@voice2net.ca> wrote:
