Not send a ptime attr in SDP
Hi, How to set the FreeSwitch to NOT send the ptime attribute in SDP part, that is the a=ptime:20 not show up in the SDP message. Thanks, Ashou Han
Had a look through google/wiki but cannot find anything relating to removing 'ptime' from the SDP. There is a few sections on rewriting SDP, but not sure if this would work as expected; http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Codec_Negotiation#Rewriting_SDP http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Codec_Negotiation#Modifying_the_codec_when_u... Perhaps give those a try and see how you get on - in the mean time maybe someone else might reply with a better answer. Cal On Tue, Sep 17, 2013 at 4:22 PM, Ashou Han <ashou@mobile-sphere.com> wrote:

There isn't another way other than hacking at the sdp. Why would you want to remove it? On Sep 17, 2013, at 12:39 PM, Cal Leeming [Simplicity Media Ltd] <cal.leeming@simplicitymedialtd.co.uk> wrote:

One of our carriers ask us to remove this attribute for calls to them, I do not understand that either. On 9/17/2013 1:19 PM, Michael Jerris wrote:

Just to elaborate on what Chris was recommending: He was suggesting that you run OpenSIPS as a SIP proxy between FreeSWITCH and your carrier. And yes, I do believe that OpenSIPS has the ability to modify/remove the ptime attribute. I too am puzzled as to why they would ask for it to be removed, it's kind of important to negotiation... But then again, I've had carriers tell me to reformat my Contact: headers so that they're e164 format (mod_sofia@IP:PORT anybody?)... -Yossi On 09/17/2013 01:18 PM, Christopher Rienzo wrote:

Ivan, I am indeed familiar with that option in FS. But the point is this: the demand to have the Contact in e164 format is a very silly demand to make in the first place. There really isn't any functional reason to enforce such a restriction. In other words, providers make illogical demands all the time... -Yossi On 09/18/2013 03:55 AM, Ivan Milivojevic wrote:
