There isn't another way other than hacking at the sdp.  Why would you want to remove it?

Had a look through google/wiki but cannot find anything relating to removing 'ptime' from the SDP.

There is a few sections on rewriting SDP, but not sure if this would work as expected;

http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Codec_Negotiation#Rewriting_SDP
http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Codec_Negotiation#Modifying_the_codec_when_using_proxy_media_mode

Perhaps give those a try and see how you get on - in the mean time maybe someone else might reply with a better answer.

Hi,

How to set the FreeSwitch to NOT send the ptime attribute in SDP part,
that is the

a=ptime:20

not show up in the SDP message.

Thanks,
