[ANN] openerp-freeswitch-connector
Hello everyone, I am announcing this here in hopes that some of you may find this useful. I have forked http://www.akretion.com/open-source-contributions/openerp-asterisk-voip-conn... and made it work with FreeSWITCH. At the moment it works for me. The only feature currently working is click to dial under customers. I will be implementing all of the features found in the original over the coming weeks. I will also be adding some that they do not have. Anyone, of course, is free to use this under the terms of the license. Anyone wishing to help out with documentation, code, features, what not, you are also welcome. I have reset the repository for various reasons. Anyone trying to use it will need to completely destroy their copy and start over. I am sorry for this. Hopefully it won't need to happen again. Click to dial now exists and works from most places (customers, employees, applicants, and events). Open calling partner now works under sales. The updating of caller id name is mostly done. I just need to decide how to do this. There are a few methods that I can choose, but I am not sure which design is best. The automatic pop-ups on calls is mostly done. I am having trouble with the web_notification, web_action_request modules. I cannot even get the example tests to work. I haven't yet figured out why. So, if I can figure out the web_* stuff and decide on the design for the caller id name updating (right now I have a wsgi script that is 99% done, but I am not sure this is who I want to do it.... the other way is to turn it into a ESL program that runs on the server and does the xml-rpc to the OpenERP/Odoo server), then I believe it will be feature complete. Then it will just be clean up, maintenance and feature requests. Any input on any of this is greatly welcome. Oh, in the FreeSWITCH Servers settings, the AMI login is not used, I haven't removed it yet. The AMI password is your FS mod_event_socket port password. Best wishes to all, Trever
Currently working: * Click to Dial for customers, events, employees and applicants. * Open calling partner under Sales. * Pop-up on in coming call, when configured, largely works. See README.md under patches-for-external for caveats. Also, editing may appear to work, but it does not! * Looking up Caller ID name by phone number works for Events, CRM, and Employees. It does NOT work for applicants. It returns the subject instead! (This is a bug, I hope to fix it soon.) Of course, all of the documentation and code cleanup/fixup has not been really even started. I noticed that I failed to include the URL for the project before. https://github.com/treveradams/openerp-freeswitch-connector This release, other than a few small bugs, is about 99.99% feature complete. There is now a "Open calling applicant" menu under Human Resources/Recruitment. This will allow you to open the applicant, the job, or refuse the applicant when the call is incoming or active. https://github.com/treveradams/openerp-freeswitch-connector/blob/master/READ... Again, I would love to have feed back. I haven't yet cleaned up all the documentation and comments. That will be something I work on this week and next. I will also be working on fixing up some of the forms to remove references to Asterisk, etc., as well as removing unneeded fields. Thank you, Trever
