I think it's more important to know which telephony signaling are you talking about. PRI, MFC-R2? If you have MFC-R2, FreeSWITCH/FreeTDM/ftmod_r2 uses openr2 which is known to work in several countries. But I've not heard of anyone using it in China. If he's in Macau, they should still be on the European standard iirc, so it might work for him, it might not. On Tue, Nov 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM, Moises Silva <moises.silva@gmail.com> wrote:

Mexico, Brazil and Argentina come to my mind as the major users. But other country variants are implemented too. see http://www.libopenr2.org/ for more info .... FreeTDM itself does not have any limitations per country, but uses the openr2 library which is the one implementing the variants across countries. Be aware you need the trunk version of libopenr2 to work with FreeSWITCH. Hi Tony, Are you working cross border? E1s within Macau are usually EuroISDN. Some going to China are MFC/R2. Steve On 11/03/2010 10:29 AM, Tony Tin wrote:

Hi Tony, I don't remember ever supporting an MFC/R2 install in Macau that was not a cross border link. Obviously, the cross border links use the China MFC/R2 protocol. I have no idea what variant of MFC/R2 might be used inside Macau. I suspect, for historic reasons, it might specifically not be the same as the China protocol. However, I have never seen documentation on Macau's MFC/R2 to really know. In other words, I have no idea if Macau is supported by the MFC/R2 software or not. Macau generally uses EuroISDN these days. Regards, Steve On 11/04/2010 10:07 AM, Tony Tin wrote:

Hi all, i have installed on a Windows machine FS in version 1.0.4. Now i see this version FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.head (git-402e383 2010-10-29 20-39-07 -0500) is this one newer? i'm confused about this one and search in wiki and google also but don't get an answer. Kind regards Erkan
1.0.4 is very very old. There's also a 1.0.6 tagged release, but that is also very old. git head is version '1.0.7'. Git head is always the newest best version (it has many bugfixes since 1.0.6) -Steve On 4 November 2010 15:53, Erkan Ünlü <erkan@speedingtrade.com> wrote:

1.0.4 shouldn't be used anymore... the latter version is newer since it says 2010-10-29 in the version string. Also you did a bad thing by hijacking the "Does Freeswitch and Digium TE220 support E1 in Macau ?" thread. Please compose your emails to the list by clicking NEW then type the list address. DO NOT click reply then change the subject. /b On Nov 4, 2010, at 10:53 AM, Erkan Ünlü wrote:

No matter what, you should always use FreeTDM. OpenZAP is deprecated. Finally, your only choice is to try since it does not seem anyone else on earth has tried FreeTDM in Macau.
