Anyone else getting email scams on this list?
I have over 50 email addresses, and 1 just for the FS mailing list. It is the only one that gets scam emails. If anyone else is getting these I wonder if the list has been skimmed? Anyone else concerned by this? They are all trying to get you to click on links. They are fake but are from the alerts@bbb.org (6 in the last 2 days), 1 wanting tax ID information: "INTUIT INC." <onlinebanking@ealerts.bankofamerica.com>, multiple ones from Chine, etc. Mario G
I haven't received any scam emails. Send me your tax ID information though, and I'll do some investigating on that. ;) 'We who cut mere stones must always be envisioning cathedrals.' Quarry Worker's Creed On 2/22/2012 11:16 AM, Mario G wrote:

I use gmail for mailing lists and see _very_ little spam on most of the lists that I'm subscribed to, this could be down to gmail filtering it out before it reaches me...
Nope. I have not seen anything like that - but I receive other SPAM though, but I've had this ass my main address for 15 years now :) /Peter ________________________________________ Från: freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org [freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] för Komar, Jason [jkomar@jbox.ca] Skickat: den 22 februari 2012 18:22 Till: FreeSWITCH Users Help Ämne: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Anyone else getting email scams on this list? its not a big surprise the list was probably farmed for email addresses... it is archived publicly and indexed by google... On Wed, Feb 22, 2012 at 11:30 AM, Peter Olsson < peter.olsson@visionutveckling.se> wrote:

My concern is this is not just routine spam selling something, I looked up the addresses and found they are genuine phishing scams trying to obtain account number, tax info, etc. Just thought I would bring it to someones attention this my email address is dedicated to FS, so it definitely is being farmed by someone. I belong to other emailing lists and get no such emails. On Feb 22, 2012, at 10:06 AM, Ken Rice wrote:

I have not had spam on the other addresses for years. I use 1 email address for each function, that way I know who compromised it. This email is only used for the FS list, wiki, and FS main site so one of those are being skimmed. On Feb 22, 2012, at 9:16 AM, Mario G wrote:
