according to the code: you are bridging 2 channels where one of them is not answered yet. and if it never is answered before the timeout it will hangup. try waiting for both to be answered before you bridge them. As you can see in the log that call hangs up before you bridge it so it ends in failure you may want to wait and make sure the call makes it to park start instead of answered before you bridge. On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 11:04 AM, Maciej Aniserowicz < maciej.aniserowicz@gmail.com> wrote:

This mechanism worked mostly OK for several months with previous builds of freeswitch, the problems showed up after upgrading to trunk recently. Sometimes it works though, i'd say that ~30% of the calls end up being hanged up, but most of them are just fine. Anyway, I'll try to wait for CHANNEL_PARK event as you suggested and only then assume that the call is really "answered" and ready for processing. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Call-gets-hanged-up-with-ORIGINATOR-CANCEL-cause-tp4735... OK, call me Nike;). I'll do that in the upcoming days and see if the problem stays. The reason I'm not downloading trunk very frequently is that almost every time I update, something just stops working. So once I am in a "pretty-stable" state I don't think about FS update for some time. And, well, this last update wasn't different from the previous ones as you can see :). I'll post a message in this subject to let you know if it works with the latest bits. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Call-gets-hanged-up-with-ORIGINATOR-CANCEL-cause-tp4735... I suspect you're doing a dirty update and have build skew. How exactly are you doing your updates? Trunk has been very stable and only getting better moving forward... if you had real issues you should be reporting them in jira. Not ignoring the issues. Thats how things don't get fixed. I would rather you open a jira and let me see the issue and close it with "Not A Bug" then chance letting a bug slip thru.
And, well, this last update wasn't different from the previous ones as you can see :).
I'll post a message in this subject to let you know if it works with the latest bits. --
What If I used that same policy that you use to update when it came to answering your emails? Please update to latest trunk so I can confirm your traces against the latest code. Also run the command show channels while it's bridged. I would prefer if you do it ASAP, now that you have us worrying about your issue, its your duty to see it through. You're right, sorry.
I updated to trunk (rev 17031) and the problem is still here.
Logs produced by newest version: http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/12474. They contain comments and commands that I used.
Scenario: 1st call is made and is parked. Then 2nd and 3rd calls are: 1) dialed 2) parked 3) bridged with 1st call 4) hanged up
It is OK for now. Then a 4th call is dialed, parked, bridged and killed. After killing the 4th call, the 1st one is immediately hanged up with ORIGINATOR_CANCEL cause.
I hope this description and logs help resolve the issue. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Hello again, Thanks for the reponses, but unfortunately the problem still exists. This time it happened immediately, so the log in pastebin contains only 2 calls: http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/12514 . I enclosed 'show channels' output before bridging like you requested. In my application I wait until ANSWERED and PARK event occur before I do any processing. did you add this to both dial strings too (requires latest trunk) {uuid_bridge_continue_on_cancel=true} On Mon, Mar 22, 2010 at 8:36 AM, Maciej Aniserowicz < maciej.aniserowicz@gmail.com> wrote:

No, I did not. I understood that this var was only to recover from incorrect scenario which I manually introduced by misplacing the "ignore_early_media" declaration... and that I should completely avoid this situation instead of just using such dirty fix. I'll update to trunk and let you know if if this additional var gets the job done. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Call-gets-hanged-up-with-ORIGINATOR-CANCEL-cause-tp4735... update again to 17069 as well if you still get the problem and you really want to find out why add debugging code to switch_ivr_wait_for_answer switch_ivr_originate.c:738 to find out which code patch causes it to return false. Now, with uuid_bridge_continue_on_cancel set to true, it works fine - no more hangups. Setting this var is still necessary though, 17069 does not work without it. Thanks a lot for your help. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Call-gets-hanged-up-with-ORIGINATOR-CANCEL-cause-tp4735...
