How to customize voicemail greeting number ?
Hi All, I am using voicemail module with odbc. I have a DID(123456789) in freeswitch and it's routed to local extension(1000). When the extension does not available it goes to voicemail and plays that number(1000) is not available.Is it possible to change the number in playback? Why should it work? When you set it in the dial plan the way you’ve put it in your message, you are setting it on the channel that executes that dial plan extension. It’s not going to set it as a user variable for the person you’re calling. Sorry but as far as I know this has to be set as a user parameter as described in the documentation Emrah

A nice alternative is to set: <action application="export" data="voicemail_greeting_number=5"/> This lets you record an alternative greeting, in your own voice, specific to the DID number called. -- Steve
