Changing callee_id_name in a call
Hi, I am trying to change the effective_callee_id_name when in a call. I tried using: uuid_setvar <uuid> effective_callee_id_name Testing I can see that the variable is set via: uuid_getvar <uuid> effective_callee_id_name But the info is not sent to the telephone, atleast not what I could see. / Markus
Nevermind, solved it. I used the uuid_display <uuid> <new message>|<new number> instead. It also needed a patch in 'src/mod/endpoints/mod_sofia/mod_sofia.c' to actually send it to the phone. / Markus ons 2013-12-18 klockan 10:50 +0100 skrev Markus Carlstedt:

At what stage of the call do you want to send the update? I've found it can be set then will be sent to the phone on ring_ready, pre_answer or answer, but I don't know of a way to do it after the call has been answered. If the id you're setting is being overridden by a display update from an upstream server, you can also set ignore_display_updates. Thank you for the answer but as I wrote in another email I found the solution myself. For future web searches I thought I'd answer your question anyway, perhaps it can help someone else. We wanted to update the display of the phone during a call based on things that happen to the call. Example: update the display to show how many are currently attached to a conference that you are connected to or if you are transferred to a different conference, also update the display to show it. If you have a supported phone uuid_display will do the trick and send the change to the phone. It seems however that there are many ways to do this and in the source-code manufacturers and models have hardcoded ways to send to them. Our manufacturer (Ascom) was not supported but we knew that they will accept P-Asserted-ID for screen updates so we added an entry for and it worked perfectly. / Markus ons 2013-12-18 klockan 16:23 +0000 skrev Andrew Cassidy:
