Troubles with FreeSWITCH and Sangoma A104
1. We have successfully configured A-104 + WANPIPE-3.3.14 + FreeSWITCH( over mod_openzap) under CentOS 5.2. But we cann't unite SVwanpipe-i386-5.10.pkg + SVzaptel-i386-5.10.pkg + FreeSWITCH( over mod_openzap ) under Solaris 5.10 Does it possible????? Do we need any other packages for SunOS? 2. This problem is expressed that FreeSWITCH's function tdmv_api_open_span(), which makes open() for path /dev/wptdms%dc%d, where %d - is a span & chun, returns "failure configuring device". Under CentOS 5.2 it works perfect, but under Solaris 5.10 in doesn't work. Does it means, that FreeSWITCH or Sangoma's equipment cann't work under Solaris 5.10?
We still need to merge the latest cross platform code from sangoma. I should have updates from them very soon, are you interested in working on that? Mike On Nov 20, 2008, at 10:12 AM, Evgeniy Zolotov wrote:

Thanks Michael for your quick reply! 1. Yes, we are interested in working on that very much. 2. We need to do this as quick as it possible. That's why we need to know when you'll get this updates? Thanks, Evgeniy. В Чтв, 20/11/2008 в 10:28 -0500, Michael Jerris пишет:

We can offer to you help on build and testing this modules onto Sun servers under Solaris 5.10 and 5.11. Unfortunately we cannot help you with code writing bacause: 1. it needs very much time for understanding already available code; 2. now we working on a module for SS7. We already made build FreeSWITCH under Solaris 5.10 with gnu- and Sun- compilers В Чтв, 20/11/2008 в 17:50 +0200, Evgeniy Zolotov пишет:

Hello, Michael! Whether there are any news on a question about Sangoma & FreeSWITCH under Solaris? Did you contact with Sangoma's developers? I asked them the same question few days ago, but still no answer. В Чтв, 20/11/2008 в 17:12 +0200, Evgeniy Zolotov пишет:

Hi - Is anyone using mod_cepstral with Cepstral 5.x? I installed demo Cepstral and mod_cepstral this morning; the module loads fine, but then complains about a couple of symbols not being provided in the libs when asked to speak. --Dave
Is this with current freeswitch trunk? On Nov 24, 2008, at 11:24 AM, David Knell <dave@3c.co.uk> wrote:

I do and I got it finally working under Ubuntu 8.041: Here is how it worked under Ubuntu 8.04: First, disable mod_flite as they are incompatibel Then set environment var export SWIFT_HOME=/opt/swift Check if /opt/swift /lib/libswift.so.5 link exists create a file /etc/ld.so.conf.d/swift.conf with the following content # Swift default configuration /opt/swift/lib run ldconfig Then it worked for me with the current freeswitch sources. In previous sources about 1 month ago there was a problem with one the apr lib. So ensure you are on the current sources. Best regards Peter David Knell schrieb:

Hi, In CentOS will it work? what is the difference in ubuntu... -- Thank you with regards, Gopal,
Hi Peter, Thanks (and to Mike) - an update to current's got things working just fine. Cheers -- Dave
I do and I got it finally working under Ubuntu 8.041:
Here is how it worked under Ubuntu 8.04: First, disable mod_flite as they are incompatibel
Then set environment var export SWIFT_HOME=/opt/swift
Check if /opt/swift /lib/libswift.so.5 link exists
create a file /etc/ld.so.conf.d/swift.conf with the following content # Swift default configuration /opt/swift/lib
run ldconfig
Then it worked for me with the current freeswitch sources. In previous sources about 1 month ago there was a problem with one the apr lib. So ensure you are on the current sources.
Best regards Peter
