mod_spidermonkey / freeswitch-v8.x86_64
when i install freeswitch-v8.x86_64 by yum like yum install freeswitch-v8.x86_64 it install but there is no file mod_v8.so in /usr/lib64/freeswitch/mod/ even else every thing is OK is it completely install or not ?
I suspect we have an issue in the rpm's for this. Please file a jira if there is not already one for this issue. On Aug 16, 2014, at 6:52 AM, Mujahid Ali <mujahid@ictinnovations.com> wrote:

I suspect the real reason for this is we are not packaging v8 at this time... Until someone deems it ready for production/packaged use On 8/18/14 11:10 AM, "Michael Jerris" <mike@jerris.com> wrote:

I have seen this issue as well with both v8 and b64. As a work around, do not load the v8 & b64 modules when freeswitch starts up. In ./conf/modules.conf.xml, do this: <!-- Loading the v8 and b64 modules result in critical errors. So don't load them. <load module="mod_vp8"/> <load module="mod_b64"/> --> On Tue, Aug 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM, Ken Rice <krice@freeswitch.org> wrote:

We should probably make sure that everything that is in the default configs is built correctly in the RPM's if its not currently, we'll have to get that corrected or remove those from the defaults, which I'm not about to remove mod_vp8 from the defaults as its required for WebRTC. mod_v8 != mod_vp8, one is javascript the other is a passthru video codec.
