Yes No confirmation on Outgoing call.
Hiya All. I search for a solution, however I don't know where to even begin looking for this request. I have been ask to be able to provide a "Press 1 to proceed and 2 to cancel" option on outgoing calls, that are specified on a list. I have seen that it I should be able to evaluate a list using the dial plan, and that Outgoing IVR can allow some sort of menu interaction. However this seems to not quite fit what I need. Does anyone have any idea where I can start looking? Regards Liam
Hiya All. A little more searching and would it be possible to do the following. Have a Dial-Plan evaluate a list (xml) if the number is on this list then pass the call to an "Answer Confirmation" http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Freeswitch_IVR_Originate#Answer_confirmation Could this then allow the call to proceed if 1 is pressed and hangup if 2 is? Using FusionPBX to configure a FreeSwitch PBX. I find it a pain on its own league. I was successful in configuring a proof of concept by manually changing the Freeswitch XML files on the node.However, I need a GUI as I want to do the basic config and pass it over to admins, with clear and simple instructions on how to add new users.Should I look at any other GUIs? I am running against time, as I need it functioning in a few days.My SIP clients are SJPhones and Cisco 7942. They just don't register, I don't seem to get the passwords right. Question 1:Keep getting this message:"[WARNING] sofia_reg.c:2745 Can't find user [1000@10.50.1.151] from 10.50.1.151You must define a domain called '10.50.1.151' in your directory and add a user with the id="1000" attribute and you must configure your device to use the proper domain in it's authentication credentials." I tried all kind of things - adding files left and right (a 10.50.1.151 directory was added for me + an empty file with the same name, in the same folder).Found an older thread and tried to follow it but no luck: http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2013-January/090948.h... I try to use domains instead of IP addresses (in sip clients config, etc), I have the same problem. Question 2:As soon as I start manually modifying and adding config files on FreeSwitch, my FusionPBX configured devices/users/domains/extensions no longer show up in the FusionPBX GUI but the files are still there. Do I have a better option? I find FusionPBX isn't really helping or making it easier to configure the PBX. At this time, do I have an option to manually configure everything (directly on Freeswitch) and get things going and then bring in a GUI that retrieves all the config, displays it and allows for new users to be added? Thank you.A.C.
Perhaps the SBC from Sangoma would work for you. Hope its not taboo to say this. On Apr 3, 2014 12:49 PM, "Adelia C." <hexade@hotmail.com> wrote:

That's what I read as well - Kazoo vs. Bluebox. Although a Darren Schreiber comment/reply on a similar thread mentioned Bluebox will be kept alive with minimal dev, I am wary to go that road. Kazoo looks a bit big for what I need. To rephrase my question then - any successful Kazoo users out there (and has it been easy to use)? Still waiting on some happy FusionPBX users. I like it but I need something that makes my life easier not adds to the difficulty of a first setup. Thx.A.C.

Adelia, Hopefully what I'm about to say will not disrupt everything. However, since I'm over 60 I don't worry about things like that much anymore. 1. FreeSWITCH is, without a doubt the most sophisticated and capable softswitch out there now. However, it is not the easiest to work with nor the simplest. With sophistication and capabilities and speed you also gain complexity. BTW, I've had more than a bit of experience with Kazoo and 2600hz and that product makes FS and Fusion easy. I won't get started on that. 2. FusionPBX does work. I've gotten it to work. As you have found, it's not the easiest to setup. And, it's basically supported by a single person. He does try to help and he provides classes with some regularity. 3. If you are not planning on making VoIP your life work (which it sounds like you're not) may I recommend (without getting flamed too much) that you look at Asterisk? I believe you'll find the amount of support is much more complete both in GUIs available and just general support. There are whole lot more people using Asterisk than FS. I will tell you, you can't do multi-tenant (at least not reasonably - before I get flamed by the Asterisk folks out there too!). And, it also cannot handle anywhere near the number of concurrent calls that FS can. But, if you're mostly interested in getting something off the ground, you're going to do in-house installation and you're going to have < 100 concurrent calls (this is a very conservative estimate and greatly depends on your hardware, etc) then please take a look at Asterisk. For what you want, fusionpbx should work, at least I have done it. I did have to modify some profiles, but those then never change. You should be able to add uusers in the gui and it will generate a password. I would add them as extensions, rather than users. Liam Carter <liam@yii-crm.com> wrote:

I tried all kind of things - adding files left and right (a 10.50.1.151 directory was added for me + an empty file with the same name, in the same folder). Found an older thread and tried to follow it but no luck: http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2013-January/090948.h... If I try to use domains instead of IP addresses (in sip clients config, etc), I have the same problem.
Question 2: As soon as I start manually modifying and adding config files on FreeSwitch, my FusionPBX configured devices/users/domains/extensions no longer show up in the FusionPBX GUI but the files are still there.
Do I have a better option? I find FusionPBX isn't really helping or making it easier to configure the PBX. At this time, do I have an option to manually configure everything (directly on Freeswitch) and get things going and then bring in a GUI that retrieves all the config, displays it and allows for new users to be added?
Thank you. A.C.

Thank you. Do you know why all the components I added seem to be gone once I started adding files manually? I added 2 devices (one Cisco, one unnamed - for my SjPhone), users, extensions (following the FusionPBX online instructions) but then got frustrated by the error message I kept getting ("define a domain in your directory, add user and configure a device"). I though I did all that - through the GUI.Files were generated and correctly put in the right places - as far as I can tell - but still no success. When I started messing with files on FreeSwitch, I lost teh GUI - i.e. I can't see any device, user, etc.I am logged into FreeSwitch (see the logout option) - not sure what I am missing and what else to try. I add new users via FusionPBX (for example) and the file shows up in conf/directory but is not visible in the GUI.Any idea why this might happen? I can always start fresh, restore my conf directory and try again. Thx.A.C.

For what you want, fusionpbx should work, at least I have done it. I did have to modify some profiles, but those then never change. You should be able to add uusers in the gui and it will generate a password. I would add them as extensions, rather than users.

Hi, We are very close to releasing a PRE BETA version of my FreeSWITCH powered PBX RockSolidPBX. It "may" be mature enough for what you need, if not, I would value all feedback so that we can make it better. If you are interest, please email me at richard@rocksolidpbx.co.uk and I'll email you privately. Sorry for the "noise" on the list without an [ANN] :) Richard RockSolidPBX On 3 April 2014 18:54, <covici@ccs.covici.com> wrote:

You're not alone but I'm able to manage. I assume you're NOT setting a multi-tenant system. Here's some things to look for: Check the Variables (conf/vars.xml): domain=${local_ip_v4} domain_name=${domain} Then check this line in conf/sip_profiles/default.xml: domain=${domain} Check these lines too: sip-ip=${local_ip_v4} rtp-ip=${{local_ip_v4} You may delete/disable these : ext-sip-ip ext-rtp-ip Delete the created files and folder 10.50.1.151. They will conflict conf/default.xml. Check Advanced>Domains. If it's set 10.50.1.151, I think that entry created these directory and file. Try to set this to "default". Restart the system. Hope you'll get started. /Nandy On Fri, Apr 4, 2014 at 12:48 AM, Adelia C. <hexade@hotmail.com> wrote:

I am running against time, as I need it functioning in a few days. My SIP clients are SJPhones and Cisco 7942. They just don't register, I don't seem to get the passwords right.
Question 1: Keep getting this message: "[WARNING] sofia_reg.c:2745 Can't find user [1000@10.50.1.151] from 10.50.1.151 You must define a domain called '10.50.1.151' in your directory and add a user with the id="1000" attribute and you must configure your device to use the proper domain in it's authentication credentials."
Thank you. A.C.

Before starting with a clean "conf", I gave it another try - logged out and back into FusionPBX and lo' and behold - all my users and devices were there. Domains, too. I opened one of the domains to look at it - and for some reason, instead of pushing "back", I pushed "save".All config in the GUI - gone again. Same thing that happened yesterday but I wasn't paying attention and know what triggered that behavior.Logged out and in again - users, etc - all visible. I can repeat that pretty consistently. Maybe I am doing something wrong but - as a beginner - this fazed me. I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am still logged in as a sysadmin.I had already run "chmod -R 777" on /directory, based on some wiki pages. Nor sure why this is happening. As part of the install, I selected MyQSL and not sqlite (some wiki pages suggest that would be a bad idea).One more bit of info (at this time I don't really know what is significant and what not) - I wanted to enable more debug and went to switch.conf.xml to enable <param name="debug-level" value="10"/> I got swamped by "Reuse Unused Cached DB handle" from the callcenter module. I don't need that functionality, my install is just 2-3 days so I ignored older threads on how to deal with this. I reset my debug level to get rid of the noise. Going to try everyone suggested yesterday and today. Thx,A.C. You're not alone but I'm able to manage. I assume you're NOT setting a multi-tenant system. Here's some things to look for:
Check the Variables (conf/vars.xml): domain=${local_ip_v4} domain_name=${domain}
Then check this line in conf/sip_profiles/default.xml: domain=${domain}
Check these lines too: sip-ip=${local_ip_v4} rtp-ip=${{local_ip_v4}
You may delete/disable these : ext-sip-ip ext-rtp-ip

Delete the created files and folder 10.50.1.151. They will conflict conf/default.xml. Check Advanced>Domains. If it's set 10.50.1.151, I think that entry created these directory and file. Try to set this to "default".
Restart the system. Hope you'll get started.

Thank you. A.C.

I installed the odbc and it worked somewhat fine.How do I delete the db I installed as part of the FusionPBX install? How would I delete the entire thing? Just clean my freeswitch directories? I don't see a fusionpbx one.Sorry, new (again) to Linux. I thought FusionPBX would make my life easier but now even a re-install is not as I expected. You would delete the DB the same way you delete any other db, sqlite db is just a file, mysql and Postgres have db management tools you need to use. You would find much more Fusion help using their IRC channel, this mailing list is more geared to Freeswitch itself. Delete the database, delete the fusionpbx page resources/config.php and re-install via gui browser. I'm not sure if re-installing via web gui will overwrite the ODBC database tables in case the database is not deleted. My experience is with sqlite db. I installed the odbc and it worked somewhat fine. How do I delete the db I installed as part of the FusionPBX install?
How would I delete the entire thing? Just clean my freeswitch directories? I don't see a fusionpbx one. Sorry, new (again) to Linux. I thought FusionPBX would make my life easier but now even a re-install is not as I expected. It detects the existing DB and doesn't overwrite it - probably that's the desired behavior but I can't get rid of it I want to.
So, having the ODBC part figured out, how do I delete and re-install the DB?
Thanks, A

i don't recommend using the core-odbc-support, your better off using postgres via odbc.

Before starting with a clean "conf", I gave it another try - logged out and back into FusionPBX and lo' and behold - all my users and devices were there. Domains, too.
I opened one of the domains to look at it - and for some reason, instead of pushing "back", I pushed "save". All config in the GUI - gone again.
Same thing that happened yesterday but I wasn't paying attention and know what triggered that behavior. Logged out and in again - users, etc - all visible. I can repeat that pretty consistently. Maybe I am doing something wrong but - as a beginner - this fazed me. I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am still logged in as a sysadmin. I had already run "chmod -R 777" on /directory, based on some wiki pages. Nor sure why this is happening.
As part of the install, I selected MyQSL and not sqlite (some wiki pages suggest that would be a bad idea). One more bit of info (at this time I don't really know what is significant and what not) - I wanted to enable more debug and went to switch.conf.xml to enable <param name="debug-level" value="10"/> I got swamped by "*Reuse Unused* Cached DB handle" from the callcenter module. I don't need that functionality, my install is just 2-3 days so I ignored older threads on how to deal with this. I reset my debug level to get rid of the noise.
Going to try everyone suggested yesterday and today.
Thx, A.C.

You're not alone but I'm able to manage. I assume you're NOT setting a multi-tenant system. Here's some things to look for:
Check the Variables (conf/vars.xml): domain=${local_ip_v4} domain_name=${domain}
Then check this line in conf/sip_profiles/default.xml: domain=${domain}
Check these lines too: sip-ip=${local_ip_v4} rtp-ip=${{local_ip_v4}
You may delete/disable these : ext-sip-ip ext-rtp-ip
Delete the created files and folder 10.50.1.151. They will conflict conf/default.xml. Check Advanced>Domains. If it's set 10.50.1.151, I think that entry created these directory and file. Try to set this to "default".
Restart the system. Hope you'll get started.

I was successful in configuring a proof of concept by manually changing the Freeswitch XML files on the node. However, I need a GUI as I want to do the basic config and pass it over to admins, with clear and simple instructions on how to add new users. Should I look at any other GUIs? I am running against time, as I need it functioning in a few days. My SIP clients are SJPhones and Cisco 7942. They just don't register, I don't seem to get the passwords right.
Question 1: Keep getting this message: "[WARNING] sofia_reg.c:2745 Can't find user [1000@10.50.1.151] from 10.50.1.151 You must define a domain called '10.50.1.151' in your directory and add a user with the id="1000" attribute and you must configure your device to use the proper domain in it's authentication credentials."
Thank you. A.C.
