Only if you want them to hate you :) My experience has been that you can give GS to people who need the functionality but hardly use their phones- like executives. Operators/call centre agents/support people etc you might wanna hand a MUCH better phone. Polycom/Aastra are excellent choices. I've also had much success using Cisco 7911G Global Spares with SIP firmware. The Linksys SPA922/942 are also amazing phones. All these phones are about the same price as the GXP-2000. Its sad because the customer will blame Asterisk/Freeswitch for the phone hanging, distorted voice, random hangups, one way sound, etc when its ALL GS fault. The GXP-2020 is FAR worse. So is the GXV-3000. Budgetones are fine technically but pathetic to use. Jonas Gauffin wrote:

I am sure you would need to reset the GS many times using UDP too :) If you use it extensively, that is.

Yeah, the GS don't work with TCP to any SIP PBX. I opened a ticket with GS and told them that their TCP implementation is broken and their answer was "use udp". It worked initially for me, but if I restarted FS, the GS never re-registered. Their TCP implementation is broken as the FS server sends back a RST since the port is no longer active and the GS just keeps trying to register on a bad port. The only fix is to reset the GS every time FS is restarted.

Hello
I have problems with TCP and GXP2000 phones. They work fine using UDP, but no calls arrive if I switch to TCP. I've upgraded to the latest GS firmware today to see it that helped, but it didn't.
Have anyone else had problems with TCP?
