it should go in /usr/local/freeswitch/db
does the user running the process have ownership of /usr/local/freeswitch ?
The user "freeswitch" and which FS is running does not have the ownership, but the group it belongs has rx access and rws access to the log,db,recording and some other subdirectories. FS was build and isntalled with --prefix. -- Mimiko desu.
