You can always connect to your external SIP provider by configuring it as gateway in sofia profile and register on to that provider.

So that hole punching thing is taken care of . Many thanks! So the whole binding-interface-port-and-listening-for-outside-connection-requests-on-that-port issue is something which does not concern me, right? I thought so, but just wanted to make sure I am doing the right thing!
