you're using skype for ALSA
you would have had to find the SAME skype client (eg: skype for OSS)!
Thanks Giovanni, it works like charm now! I wasn't aware that Skype comes either in ALSA or in OSS flavor, assumed support for both is compiled in. -- Marcin Gozdalik
