If I can remember correctly, mod_g723_1 is a passthru codec. After installing the module mod_g729_1, I run the command as follows "./fs_encode -l mod_g723_1 temp.PCMU temp.G723" then it is raising the error as " Couldn't initialize codec for G723@8000h@20i ".
