I will set up a test environment, but basically the source of the problem is in @ symbol in REGISTER username, and then Sofia tries to look up the name in DNS

You can open a bug but you will definitely need some sort of log. I recommend that you anonymize the log by replacing proprietary information/IP addrs/etc. with dummy but meaningful values.

I'm not sure if I need to open a bug for this:
Two FreeSWITCH boxes, 1.2 stable,
* A is the PSTN gateway and has a user x@domain.com (domain has an SRV record pointing to the box port 5080) * B has a gateway in its sip_profiles pointing to the user at A.
First, I configured B this way:
<!-- Test account --> <gateway name="x@domain.com"> <param name="username" value="x"/> <param name="realm" value="domain.com" /> <param name="password" value="XXXXX"/> <param name="extension" value="731"/> <param name="expire-seconds" value="3600"/> <param name="register" value="true"/> <param name="register-transport" value="udp"/> <param name="retry-seconds" value="30"/> <param name="caller-id-in-from" value="true"/> <param name="ping" value="27"/> </gateway>
Then when from A I wanted to call the user x, A failed, and sofia debug showed that it tried to resolve a record that is a combination of B's IP address and the domain name. A did not even try to send anything toward B.
After changing to <gateway name="x_domain.com"> it started working as expected.
shall I open a bug? I cannot provide logs because they contain confidential information.
regards, stan
