Peter,
Check codec negotiations, network issues etc. Also, are you running in a virtual machine?
No, native on Kubuntu 10.10.
However, random noise should probably have something to do with codecs.
Agree. Any links to help in debugging the codecs? Here are my current codec settings: vars.xml: <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="global_codec_prefs=G7221@32000h,G7221@16000h,G722,PCMU,PCMA,GSM"/> vars.xml: <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="outbound_codec_prefs=PCMU,PCMA,GSM"/> sip_profiles/internal.xml: <param name="inbound-codec-prefs" value="$${global_codec_prefs}"/> sip_profiles/internal.xml: <param name="outbound-codec-prefs" value="$${global_codec_prefs}"/> sip_profiles/internal.xml: <param name="inbound-codec-negotiation" value="generous"/> sip_profiles/external.xml: <param name="inbound-codec-prefs" value="$${global_codec_prefs}"/> sip_profiles/external.xml: <param name="outbound-codec-prefs" value="$${outbound_codec_prefs}"/> sip_profiles/external.xml: <param name="inbound-codec-negotiation" value="generous"/> Julf
