GRRR do you think freeswitch can get GPL licensed stufs associated with it? go ask brian for this Le 18/07/2010 14:38, Jan Berger a écrit :
No. It's been talk about it back in time, but most people seems to be happy buying commercial solutions -- or using some other project when it comes to SS7.
It exist 5 SS7 projects in open source that I am aware of -- all GPL.

Thanks for all the replies.
At the moment I found only commercial solution - Sangoma SMG:
http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-linux-asterisk-ss7
I am wondering if there is a free/opensource solution of SS7 that can be used with FreeSWITCH.
For example someting like chan_ss7 for Asterisk.
Are you aware of it?
Thank you,
Vitalie

Thank you!
One more question - do you know which hardware should be used?
Sangoma ISDN (T1/E1) cards will be OK? (e.g. A101D)
Or they have completely different series for SS7 protocol?
Thanks, Vitalie
