unfortunately this seems to be a problem with some USB bus adapter. Best I can counseil is: 1) use an external powered (eg: with a power supply in the wall socket) USB hub, instead of connecting directly the dongle to the computer 2) ask ubuntu support or developers how to obtain predictable devices (maybe rules in udev?) Hi,
I am using gsmopen on ubuntu 12.04LTS. With E169 dongle connected as ttyUSB0, ttyUSB1 and ttyUSB2. It runs well at first. But after days, all call failed. Checked the tty files, the ports on system is somehow changed to ttyUSB0, ttyUSB1 and ttyUSB3. ttyUSB2 just disappeared. Does anyone meet the same problem? How can I make it stable? Thanks.
Regards, Eric
