Has anyone succeeded in doing this with a text-based Web browser such as Lynx or Elinks? Jira keeps complaining that I haven't selected a valid project. There are reasons why I would rather avoid a graphical browser under X at the moment, including X bugs that cause the X server to crash on this machine.
