Thomas, It will, but if you wish this to take place then you MUST offer both PCMU and PCMA on the leg headed to the device that only has PCMU enabled, otherwise you’re sending an invite with only PCMA in it and that x-lite thats configured with only PCMU, Its responding 488. Its behaving exactly how its configured. Please add PCMA and PCMU to your codecs list on FreeSWITCH. -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org FreeSWITCH Solutions, LLC PO BOX 2531 Brookfield, WI 53008-2531 Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On Jan 30, 2014, at 1:51 PM, thomas peterseil <thomas.peterseil@gmail.com> wrote:
hello brian, as far as i know FS by default is doing transcoding, so my expectation is that FS will do a transcoding between both call-legs. i didn´t change anything of the default config. on one client PCMA is enabled, on the other PCMU. thank you very much! best, thomas
