That is because you are attempting to use a phrase that does not exist. See documentation here; http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Speech_Phrase_Management If you want to use TTS (i.e. you provide some text and it converts it to voice), then you can use the following; http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/TTS You can also record the voice menus yourself (or hire voice talent from fiverr.com), and play them as regular wav/mp3 - which gives a much better quality finish. Hope this helps Cal On Sun, Apr 7, 2013 at 10:09 AM, Sherif Omran <sherifomran2000@yahoo.com>wrote:
Hello guys,
I am trying to play an ivr menu but seem to be missing a point, i saw the demo ivr main menu example and now changed its name into salah_ivr but i get switch_ivr_play_say.c:142 Can't find macro salah_ivr_main_menu.
where could the error be? It does not play any sound. I don't know what should i call the sound file, in case i don't use flite tts?
<menu name="salah_ivr" <!-- greet-long="phrase:salah_ivr_main_menu" --> greet-long="say: welcome welcome" greet-short="phrase:salah_ivr_main_menu_short" invalid-sound="ivr/ivr-that_was_an_invalid_entry.wav" exit-sound="voicemail/vm-goodbye.wav" confirm-macro="" confirm-key="" tts-engine="flite" tts-voice="rms" confirm-attempts="3" timeout="10000" inter-digit-timeout="2000" max-failures="3" max-timeouts="3" digit-len="1"> <entry action="menu-exec-app" digits="1" param="transfer 1000 XML </menu>
thanks in advance Sherif Omran
