I do have c++ installed, and the release version 1.0.1 did install OK. On the other hand 1.0.1 came with the configure script, in this version configure was build by bootstrap. I can't answer what the difference of the trunk version compared to version 1.0.x is. Anyhow I have the same problem with the snapshot from 20-09-2008. Somehow I think the AX_COMPILER_VENDOR is undefined when called, but I'm not at all into the autoconf-world, and I waste time trying to figure out what's going on.. /Jon
