git bisect would be the best way to track this down. On Jul 4, 2014, at 9:15 AM, Andrew <aademattia@comcast.net> wrote:
I am using API class and I was using ManagedSession.
Once I moved back to 1.2 the issues are gone. No odbc issues. So its like this if I use 1.4* the memory just grows. I found that it grows once the call bridges.
When I use the 1.2 code the issues is gone. Its clear it's the new copy of FS. So for now my code only using API class for all of FS.
How do I get more info? I really want to use 1.4. If this was .net leak I use ANTS to trace the leak but no clue on c++

Which modules are you using? Any custom code running on the same box? Any databases? Odbc drivers, etc.?
It is impossible to track a leak by just saying there is a leak, would need more info.
1.4 had many third many third party components upgraded, and moved out of tree.

I am using windows. 100% sure the issue is not in 1.2 as I am using that now. I did try using old 1.2 code with 1.4 but it had nothing but errors.
I think the leak is in the c++ code but not sure.

Can you please perform a git bisect to track down the source of the memory leak?

Hi, I was using 1.4.6 and was having a hard time with running out of memory. I hit 50 gb then the switch stopped working correctly. I was ready to give up until I tried 1.2. Not sure what happen but The new mod managed is missing some of the functions (I will put a jar in soon) and memory leak.
I have not spent much time on hunting down the issue but it's not the .net c# code as I ran a memory profile to find the issue and it said it was not managed code causing the issue.
When the last swig was done I think it caused more issues than good. Not knowing much about swig.
If I was to open a jar what info would be needed to show the leak? Program never crashes.
