Hello,
I noticed that the latest SVN versions have the mod_g729 and mod_g723_1 mods available. I assume that this is pass-through and not regular codecs, but unfortunately, they don't compile.
They both (as well as the work in progress amr codec module) require the libraries that they build against to build. We can not provide those due to licensing/patent issues, but the code in the module should allow someone who has a legal library to build a codec with little modification, please note, these are not built against the intel IPP g729 code. We do plan on at some point (probably soon after the first release depending on demand) offering licensing for those codecs that have a good patent pool established (729, and probably 723.... but most likely not AMR). We will be adding dummy codec modules that do pass-through soon, we just started discussing those late last week.
Are they still incomplete (so failure to compile is natural) or am I missing something? I have available logs from the compilation attempts
if
anyone needs to see them...
