As with anything, somebody needs to be motivated enough to do it. I just thought it would kill about four birds with one stone, and probably not be a heck of a lot harder than writing a native client interface. It would automatically open up the possibility of dialling directly from Outlook, which supports TAPI diallers out of the box. No plugins required. janvb@caselaboratories.com wrote:
hi,
This is actually an easy task to do. Goto www.julmar.com.
I used this library years ago to make a tsp and it is quite good. Someone knowing FreeSWITCH will need 2 weeks +.
But, as Brian sais - someone need to do it.

Daniel, I like the idea but in practice unless someone actually writes it or takes on that task of writing it... it will never come to be.

Having seen a number of projects spring up for Outlook integration / Windows diallers for Asterisk via the manager socket, all with varying levels of success, can I make the following suggestion: instead of a dozen people all writing various different implementations, how about doing a TAPI provider... that way, it would open up a lot more opportunities with Win32 software that supports TAPI.
