I wouldn’t say its vague, I would say you started turning off modules you are required to have most of the time... Most of the commands for the dialplan are in mod_dptools... Mod_commands is also another module you need to load...
The system cant tell you what modules you need to load for commands to work properly because the core doesn’t know what module does what until it actually loads that module
Another way of saying this is that mod_dptools adds most (but not all) of the dialplan applications that you would typically use. However, other modules also load dialplan applications. When FreeSWITCH says "invalid application" that means "none of the loaded modules have a dialplan application by this name." It's too wordy to put all that in the logs. The same goes for commands that you type at the console/fs_cli. The module mod_commands exposes most, but not all, of the API commands you would use. Again, if you see "invalid command" then it's just like "invalid application" and you need to figure out which module to load. A few modules that load dialplan apps and/or API commands: mod_spandsp mod_voicemail mod_conference mod_valet_parking Hope this helps... -MC -- Michael S Collins Twitter: @mercutioviz http://www.FreeSWITCH.org http://www.ClueCon.com http://www.OSTAG.org
