I know that the UDP packets are like fire and forget but what does this mean: pc1:/opt/freeswitch# netstat -unp Active Internet connections (w/o servers) Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State PID/Program name udp 0 0 10.20.30.40:40042 40.30.20.10:53 ESTABLISHED 32162/freeswitch Every time I run netstat -unp I see the above output. Even if I put the -c option at the end (to run continuesly) it always says "ESTABLISHED". I'm a bit confused... 2010. július 14. 13.11.24 dátummal Steven Ayre az alábbiakat írta:
There is no such thing as 'connecting' in UDP?
If it's making a DNS request then it'll be because it is neccessary.

Hi.
I just noticed today that one my FS server is keeping up an active udp connection to one of the configured nameserver in resolv.conf. Is it possible to disable this and connect when necessary ?
Thank you for your help!
