Yes, Its just libavcodec-extra no 's' in the end. I'm sure thats the one you meant. Also libavcodec-extra-56 is installed as well. On Tue, Nov 17, 2015 at 9:23 PM, Michael Jerris <mike@jerris.com> wrote:
do you have the libavcodec-extras package installed?

Yes Anthony,
I followed it exactly except for the certificates and WSS/Verto part since I don't need it. Anything above the Certificates portion was done properly and carefully. Anything further that point was carefully read and followed wherever necessary. Still uuid_record is doing what I explained earlier but I'm not pointing any bugs or issue in the FS code, I'm sure its definitely something on my end.
For now its all fine, don't need it really since thanks to record_mp4. I'm getting a video message recorded directly in MP4 now which is playing nicely over PHP GUI, so I don't need conversion anymore.
I'd be interested to know if I can use FS as passive video-call recording tool ! by any chance mirror video-call traffic(sip+rtp) to FS and make use of its recording capabilities ? I doubt if I'll get any performance but its definitely free and easy to get.

If you have it all right you should be able to uuid_record to mp4 even with both sides in the video per your choices.

Well, I'm able to record into mp4 successfully using application record_mp4 after loading the mod_mp4v2 - For that I obviously changed the branch to video-bug, I'm able to record the files directly into mp4 hence not requiring conversion from FSV to MP4.
Like Michael suggested I ried doing record only and also tried using "uuid_record" from cli and it didnt work. using uuid_record <uid> start /tmp/filename.mp4 freezes the video stream on both ends. thanks for all the help here.

I might be wrong, but I am guess depending on the context you might only get only audio. Other guess is maybe video codec you are using cant be transcoded to mp4. I think I remember we had better luck of recording video from in conference config file rather than in dialplan.

Likely you are recording the audio stream and not the video stream.
