SMS in NA is fairly locked down for small volume for outbound caller ID. As mentioned by Steven you can port numbers in. Flowroute's new API works fairly well. Nexmo also is a good SMS provider with another good API (although low volume may make transferring in harder). Outside of twillio I am not aware of MMS capable long code providers (and remember group chats etc are MMS not SMS). ~Mitch On Thu, Aug 18, 2016 at 10:53 AM, Steven Schoch < schoch+freeswitch.org@xwin32.com> wrote:
Yes, the DID number needs to be hosted on your Flowroute account. (Which technically means it could have been purchased somewhere else and transferred to Flowroute.)

Thanks Steven. Question, the DID number needs to be purchased from FlowRoute or no?
