When you send a call into a conference it is by default not muted. There are member flags that can be set to have callers be deaf, mute, etc.: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_conference#Conference_Parameters See "member-flags". You might want to pastebin the script and the console debug from a call that goes in auto-muted.
