The only way I could get a clean compile was VS2008 running on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 box

i've got it compiling without major problems on WinXP with VisualStudio Express 2008 yesterday. only thing to obey was the "autocrlf" thing that screwed up compilation of sofia. I checked before the first checkout, the check was not set in the TortoiseGui but after the checkout it was set. Deleted the source, removed the "autocrlf" check , "git clone" and then all was ok. - Thomas
