Hi,
is mod_skinny (SCCP) still supported on FreeSWITCH ? Of course! It is to young to be zombie ;)
I'm the dev of mod_skinny. The module works and the doc is probably sufficient to setup a working installation (see http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_skinny). But lot more is coming: I have patches to commit for: - Shared lines - multiple call per lines - less crashes (I hope) Next I will then work on: - ForwardAll, ForwardBusy, ForwardNoAnswer - Hold/Unhold - Ring policies - Transfer - Proper memory pools and mutex releases Some missing features that need help (or I don't care but know as important): - Bypass Media - Codec Negotiation - answer VersionReqMessage with VersionMessage (easy) - MusicOnHold Feel free to contribute More info on: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Skinny_Call_Control_Protocol#More Also there are plenty of bugs, you can add them in JIRA. Hi Andrew,
thanks for the reply, under Windows, I don't have a \endpoints\mod_skinny directory though.
I have not tested on Windows if it even compiles, you probably need to create a .vcproj (and submit it to JIRA). It build on amd64 and ppc but probably behave incorrectly on ppc. You can contribute on this even if you don't have a skinny phone: There is a perl lib included to generate skinny messages (run it and send me the capture). If you plan to work on a feature, discuss on IRC or write it to <http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Skinny_Call_Control_Protocol#TODO> Cheers Mathieu Parent
