fs_cli will still connect but you cannot issue any commands to sofia, i.e. restart, etc I am on svn trunk. The problem is I haven't been able to reproduce this in the lab, it only happens when it goes into production which makes debugging a challenge at best, the process has to get restarted as fast as possible. 1. Upgrade to the latest version from the svn repository if you haven't done so already. You didn't specify which version of FreeSWITCH you were using, but if it's old, upgrade it and try to reproduce the problem with the latest version.
2. Assuming you can reproduce the problem with the latest code from svn, I suppose it's time for gdb - instructions are on the wiki.
Can you run fs_cli and connect to it in this state or does it hang completely?
