As how people learn is a subject that's of great interest and importance to me, personally and professionally, I'd like to offer my $0.02. In general, I'm in wholehearted agreement with Ken:
Also Why videos? People learn different ways... some learn by reading, others by watching videos, others can look at source code and figure it out.
I've had students benefit greatly from being able to study a working model that implements a relatively complex topic like multi tenancy when they have access to a VM that they can study, change, add to, etc.; I've seen more than a few individuals become willing to experiment with something when they know they can return to a working state at any point they feel they need to. We've used GIT and friends to start off with a very basic system, and build up said system in stages, where they contribute some work and commit their changes and test both their work AMD the state as a whole, prior to committing said work. They then check out a skeletal version of the next step and repeat the process. The only issue I've had with multiple methods of presenting the same information is when the various methods don't agree with each other / present the same material / etc. - Larry On Mar 6, 2016 15:59, "Bote Man" <bote_radio@botecomm.com> wrote:
Yes, videos of the weekly conference calls are great because many times when there is a live demo it goes by way too fast to see important details or comprehend all that needs to be understood.
But a video on configuring something like voicemail or TLS...I just don't see it. Step by step instructions on a wiki page allow for careful examination and copy-paste of commands which a video precludes.
A demo of how something sounds or how FS responds could be useful in a video I suppose.
Anyway, if it's still up there somewhere by all means put the link back. Some wiki pages are getting pretty long in the tooth.

That's fine. But my question is simpler: why a video?

FIXED!
Somebody was bugging me about why there aren’t FreeSWITCH videos.
Seems to me that recipes and configuration instructions are best left sitting static on a page where you can copy and paste commands and compare notes. A video doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Yes, but check this out: https://asciinema.org/
The videos can be hosted on their site or self hosted and linked/embedded in the confluence pages.
Thanks for the tip.
