mono isn't a language it's an open source .NET subsystem that ties a bunch of languages into FreeSWITCH which was recently added to tree. I think Java is second on the list from this page of supported languages: http://www.mono-project.com/Languages You could probably add Native Java as well if they let you do embeded runtime and permit external modules made from C code.
