libbson isn't (just) a JSON library and it's mandatory for the libmongoc driver. It's there and it has to be used either in the way to create a JSON string out of switch_ivr_generate_json_cdr and re-parse it in libbson (which is highly inefficient), or to re-implement switch_ivr_generate_json_cdr in the module with libbson (which I did).
