It is possible.... I know people have done smdi for other OSS platforms One thing we have in the works is MWI via SS7 for carriers

Guys, Is it possible to do smdi? Assuming for the moment that time and money were not factors, what would be involved? Ideally I would want to see support for serial smdi as well as lan cuz there are still lots of legacy systems out there that could talk to a fs box via rs232.
Anyway, would this need to be implemented as its own module, mod_smdi? I'm just curious because I might have a customer who could use fs as a VM system but smdi is required.
