I see. Even the source code is moved out from Gihub. Thanks for your explanation. How do you build rpms and debs now? I've seen spec files in the source code. For rpm, just run rpmbuild? Thanks, On Mon, Jun 22, 2015 at 11:33 AM Ken Rice <krice@freeswitch.org> wrote:
If you have everything working properly, submit a pull request for any packages.
As a rule the FreeSWITCH Project does not use 3rd party resources for Source Control, or Package building that the FS project does not control. This ban on 3rd party hosting was decided a long time ago and was recently reinforced when SourceForge started adding things to other Open Source project downloads. The only way we can insure this does not happen in the future is just host it ourselves.

How do we package .deb and .rpm ?
Do you think build.opensuse.org <http://build.opensuse.org> will help? I think I can help build rpm if needed.

We are looking for someone to maintain ubuntu ports, but we would want freeswitch to host the actual repos and have them built on our bamboo instance. If you are interested in tweaking what we have for debian to make it work on ubuntu, and assisting us in this process, please contact me off list and we will get you guys moving on this process. We are looking for this for the master branch at this time. This will require some pretty significant testing to get the dependencies right as I know they were a bit out of date compared to jessie.

Hey Gals/Guys,
The BetterVoice team already maintains an Ubuntu 14.04 based docker container with the latest stable build @ https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/bettervoice/freeswitch-container. We can certainly provide Ubuntu packages and a repo for stable and unstable with a little help from the FreeSWITCH team to make sure we provide an experience consistent with the current supported distros.

If the community steps up and assists on this front we can expand our target platforms to non-x86, ubuntu, and various others... We'll have the RPM based unstable repo soon too. Ken is wrapping that up soon.
So anyone wanting to get involved please email us.

To help speed the testing and release cycle up, Team FreeSWITCH has
created a FreeSWITCH Unstable Debian repo, This repo is updated after every commit to master and the debs lag behind about an hour from each commit.
Wow, this is really wonderful.
Are you considering also packages for non x86 platforms, too? Specifically arm.
