Are you talking about normal multiple registrations or:
<param name="manage-shared-appearance" value="true"/>

You might want to just carefully examine what is happening by pointing 2
phones at the default profile and work up.
It might not be parsing your alias or something like that or using a
different profile than you think.
Have you tried using the default config vs the old 1.4 one?
