[Freeswitch-users] Concurrent Channels Limit

We added Opensips in front of FreeSWITCH and use more than one FreeSWITCH to handle the CPS.

10k calls on one server would be very bad if it went down. You may want to use a few servers and have Opensips load balancer to handle the traffic.

Your expectations are not in touch with reality, while you could do it doesn't mean you should.

I am just playing around with virtual machine and learning how FreeSwitch works and performs.

My production hardware would be with 16 GB RAM and dual Xeon 6 core CPU.

I am expecting at least 10,000 concurrent calls with that setup.

Is that feasible ? or in other words is FreeSwitch capable of handling 10000+ concurrent calls with around 400-500 calls per second?

So put the db in a ramdisk and see if that gets you to the next bottleneck.

How many concurrent calls do you expect to achieve with the set-up you have?

the first thing to do is put the database in a ramdisk

I was able to fix the database error.

However FreeSwitch is still not able to take more than 240 calls at a time.

Help on how to troubleshoot problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
