After extensive testing using decent SIP providers (with or without
T38), we have much better success with spandsp than hylafax. We even
have a better success rate compared to most combinations of ATA +
physical fax machine we tested!!
No tweaks needed, and using default values (use-ecm=true,
disable-v17=false).
Feature-wise it's not really comparable to a Hylafax solution, but with
a few scripts to manage queues and such, you can build a very nice
solution able to handle a huge fax volume!
