[Freeswitch-users] how to create Lua application for Freeswicth

FreeSwitch is new for me.
I want to make my own small application in lua and connect to mysql DB.
Could anyone please suggest me how to start programming in Lua ?
I am reading below thread for Lua programming. I want to boost it up with
small program so that my confidence will increase.
