I did, and nothing has changed in the hardware setup. Or not
knowingly. Seems one of the modules might have blown,
here is an extract from dmesg:

[   11.156017] Unable to do INITIAL ProSLIC powerup on module 1
[   11.156019] Module 1: FAILED FXS (FCC)
[   11.356308] Module 2: Installed -- AUTO FXO (FCC mode)
[   11.556308] Module 3: Installed -- AUTO FXO (FCC mode)

[   11.604259] Found a Wildcard TDM: Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F (3 modules)

So one of the 4 modules refused to power up.
