Another interesting point i have asked in near topic in opensips mailing
list about timer and Saúl Ibarra Corretgé told me this:
About Asterisk, the timing issues were resolved long ago and works very well
with DAHDI if HPET is enabled. Latest releases support other timing sources:
TimerFD and pthreads based timing. AppKonference did the timing and on its
own, but it also brought another advantage: the possibility of not to use
Zaptel/DAHDI (MeetMe uses DAHDI mixing engine, so it's limited to 8KHz...).
So this virtualization timer problem is not so complicated to resolve if
others done it ?
