Another interesting point i have asked in near topic in opensips mailing list about timer and <meta charset="utf-8"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; color: rgb(136, 136, 136); ">Saúl Ibarra Corretgé told me this:<br>
</span><meta charset="utf-8"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; "><br></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; "><br>
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#3366FF">About Asterisk, the timing issues were resolved long ago and works very well with DAHDI if HPET is enabled. Latest releases support other timing sources: TimerFD and pthreads based timing. AppKonference did the timing and on its own, but it also brought another advantage: the possibility of not to use Zaptel/DAHDI (MeetMe uses DAHDI mixing engine, so it's limited to 8KHz...).</font></span><br>
<div><br></div><div>So this virtualization timer problem is not so complicated to resolve if others done it ?</div><div><br></div><div><br><div class="gmail_quote">2011/1/29 Grygoriy Dobrovolskyy <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:megahohol@gmail.com">megahohol@gmail.com</a>></span><br>

It's a good solution.<div>The problem of Openvz is the maintenance mess. In clear you always need to keep updated kernels, possible have compatibility issues and other stuff when maintaining your virtual infrastructure up to date / migrating servers back and forth. With a complete hypervisor this problems do not exist.</div>

Why would it possibly matter if it's more of a 'jail' than 'virtualisation' ?
